We love to define ourselves as an "workshop of ideas", which means keeping our doors open to collaborations and innovative projects. Each collaboration is the result of sharing a mutual exchange of ideas and vision of art and design. In fact, we are very happy to be present at Bologna Design Week 2019. For Nestart, fairs and exhibitions are not only an opportunity to propose new projects to the public. They are contexts to get to know and meet other realities, creative studios and designers who share the same objectives.

Today, we are not alone in the search for values that hinge on the circular economy. More and more creative processes are designed for the conscious use of resources and reused raw materials, safeguarding the planet. Since its foundation, Nestart has had the opportunity to meet high-level creative realities, sharing the same values in a similar and different way. Among them is Stefano Lodesani Studio.

Stefano Lodesani Studio curated the exhibition space that hosted ‘Alkemia’ at Bologna Design Week. Although, Alessio Conti conceived the project, which includes design proposals related to the Digital Detox approach. On this occasion, Stefano Lodesani Studio and Nestart met for the first time and began sharing ideas immediately.
The meeting turned into knowledge and, over the years, a collaboration, thanks to their constant participation in joint exhibitions. What initially brought them together was their shared journey, undertaken within the meaning of space of matter and emotional space of Alkemia. A journey that shifts design from circular economy towards eco-sustainability while maintaining a connection with the materiality of the construction materials.

Art and design, steel and contrasting materials create new opportunities in the shaping and projecting process. For this reason, Nestart starts from these bases to rethink, once again, objects and their surfaces. Through strong know-how, the projects unite the worlds of seemingly different materials but oriented towards the same idea.
